Big Mountains, clear skies

Today we visited Mount St. Helens.
It was such a humbling experience to be there among such a huge powerful mountain.
We stopped at the Johnson observatory, which overlooks the north face of the mountain, where the eruption occurred in 1980.
After watching a short video with footage of the day the volcano erupted it was hard not to be in awe of the power of nature.
We listened to a lecture from a ranger with stories and  recordings of radio transmissions that day. It's amazing how fast so many lives were changed and how much we've learned from the mounatain.

Tomorrow we are headed to Oregon.
Thank you Jeff and Torri for hosting us this weekend.
